Inspection of 420 Departmental Key and New Business Plans, Discussion on Promotion Directions
Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do held the '2024 Major County Administration Work Plan Report Meeting' at the county office situation room from the 11th to the 16th, attended by the county governor, deputy governor, department heads, and team leaders.
According to the county on the 18th, the meeting was organized to review 420 key projects and new project plans by department, and to discuss issues and directions for implementation.

First, County Governor Shin Woo-cheol comforted the staff by saying, "Despite difficult circumstances last year, we actively carried out administration, achieving concrete results such as opening the nation's first Marine Healing Center, fostering the marine bioindustry, selecting the National Marine Fisheries Museum and the preliminary feasibility study project for the second phase of the Gwangju-Wando Expressway."
He then urged everyone to do their best to ensure the smooth progress of key projects this year, including △ fostering the Wando-type marine healing industry and marine bioindustry △ creating the 'Healing Island' △ early establishment of the National Subtropical Arboretum △ SOC projects such as the Wando-Goheung Coastal Tourism Road, Gwangju-Wando Expressway, and construction of the Nohwa-Soan Island Bridge △ and the 2024 Jeonnam Sports Festival.
Additionally, detailed projects such as long-term drought countermeasures, expansion of fishing village infrastructure, disaster prevention projects, creation of an inclusive welfare environment, expansion of public welfare services, strengthening competitiveness of Wando Natural Agriculture and Livestock Industry, expansion of seafood distribution and exports, and support for small business owners to revitalize the local economy were also discussed.
Governor Shin Woo-cheol stated, "Building on the achievements accumulated so far, this year Wando has a great opportunity to make a bigger leap forward," and expressed his determination, saying, "Let us move forward together toward the development of Wando through continuous effort, positive change, and innovation."
