Kakao Entertainment announced on the 18th that it will exclusively serialize the 7th volume of Jeon Min-hee's new work in the 'Children of the Rune' series, 'Children of the Rune Part 3: Blooded.'
Kakao Entertainment will release the 7th volume of Children of the Rune: Blooded on KakaoPage starting at 6 PM on the 20th of this month. Written by Jeon Min-hee, Children of the Rune is regarded as one of the most beloved fantasy series not only in Korea but throughout Asia. It has been published in global markets including Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan, achieving over 3 million copies sold in total domestically and internationally. According to data from the Tokyo Korean Cultural Center in 2013, it is the best-selling Korean novel ever in Japan and is also known as the original work for the game TalesWeaver.
The Children of the Rune series, which previously received great love both domestically and internationally as a standalone book, concluded Part 2 'Demonic' in 2007. After about 12 years, Part 3 Blooded is being introduced on KakaoPage, attracting attention.
Author Jeon Min-hee said, "'Children of the Rune' is a series, so it always had the fate of being compared to previous series. Among them, Part 3 Children of the Rune: Blooded was my first online platform serialization, so I feel that the readers who followed the live serialization became pacemakers by my side, and I will remember this experience for a long time." She added, "There are currently no plans for Part 4, and I think Part 3 will be completed in about three volumes. I want to create a joyful festival ending with those who have run together with me."
