Cho Hyun-sang, Vice Chairman of Hyosung Group, attended the World Economic Forum (WEF, Davos Forum) to engage with global leaders and explore new business opportunities for Hyosung Group, a global company in the materials sector.

The 54th World Economic Forum, held from the 15th to the 19th (local time) in Davos, Switzerland, was themed "Rebuilding Trust."

On the afternoon of the 17th, Vice Chairman Cho participated in a dialogue session with Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and business leaders. During this session, discussions were held on ways to rebuild the global supply chain together with South Korea. Many CEOs of global companies attended the session, expressing interest in cooperation with South Korea.

Using carbon fiber produced by Hyosung as an example, Vice Chairman Cho stated, "Supply chain issues have become a critical concern since the beginning of the year, intertwined with the global geopolitical situation. As a company responsible for producing and exporting materials, we will respond to supply chain risks by diversifying supply chains." He also suggested, "The government should promptly establish a supply chain committee to quickly identify corporate difficulties and take joint action."

Additionally, Vice Chairman Cho held bilateral meetings with several global company CEOs to discuss business cooperation. With over 800 global company CEOs attending this year’s Davos Forum, Vice Chairman Cho devoted his efforts to promoting Hyosung Group as a global leader in the materials sector and seeking new business opportunities through numerous meetings with business leaders.

Vice Chairman Cho has maintained a special relationship with the Davos Forum by attending consistently since 2006. In 2007, he was selected as a "Young Global Leader (YGL)" at the Davos Forum, and in 2010, he became the only Korean member of the "YGL G20 Initiative," an organization of Young Global Leaders from the Group of Twenty (G20). Beyond the Davos Forum, he currently serves as a director of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) to the OECD, actively engaging as a global business leader.
