Specifying Pet Clauses in Lease Agreements to Minimize Disputes
Providing Spatial Information Services for Easy Access to Pet-Related Facility Information

Guro-gu (District Mayor Moon Heon-il) is launching the "Happy Companionship Service with Pets."

Since April last year, Guro-gu has been cooperating with Seoul City, relevant district offices, and the Guro-gu branch of the Korea Association of Realtors to create a happy pet culture where pet owners, non-pet owners, and pets can coexist without conflict.

As a result, to promote the "Happy Companionship Project with Pets!", the district has prepared ▲operation of real estate agencies accompanying pets ▲proposal of special clauses to prevent pet-related disputes ▲and spatial information services for pet-related facilities.

First, 66 "Real Estate Agencies Accompanying Pets" will operate within the district. When signing housing lease contracts, landlords and tenants will be presented with special pet-related clauses to prevent lease conflicts and disputes.

Additionally, spatial information on pet-related facilities has been established to provide information on pet-related facilities (animal hospitals, pet-related businesses, pet playgrounds, etc.) including real estate agencies.

The spatial information service can be accessed via the web or mobile through the Smart Seoul Map and the Guro-gu Office website.

A Guro-gu official stated, "We hope that this project will resolve conflicts among residents and realize a happy Guro-gu where neighbors live together harmoniously," adding, "We will continue to strive to provide better pet companionship services."
