Yuseonghun District Mayor Presents Goal of 'Geumcheon Empowering Residents' Lives'
Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, Education Superintendent Cho Hee-yeon, National Assembly Member Choi Ki-sang, and Over 600 Residents Attend
Geumcheon-gu (District Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) shared the direction of district administration for this year and reaffirmed their determination for a strong leap forward at the '2024 New Year's Greeting Meeting' held on the 17th at the Geumnarae Art Hall.
The New Year's Greeting Meeting was filled with over 600 Geumcheon residents and various dignitaries, including Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, Oh Se-hoon, Mayor of Seoul, Jo Hee-yeon, Superintendent of Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, Choi Ki-sang, Member of the National Assembly, and Kim Yong-sul, Chairperson of Geumcheon-gu Council.
The event began with greetings from Mayor Yu Seong-hoon to the residents, followed by the screening of a 'New Year video,' the 'Mayor's New Year's Address,' 'New Year's well-wishes' and 'formal bows' from key guests. The event concluded with everyone singing together the 'Hymn of Seoul.'
In his New Year's address, Mayor Yu Seong-hoon presented the administrative directions for the year, including ▲ Geumcheon as an economically vibrant city, ▲ Geumcheon as a livable city with culture, welfare, and education, and ▲ Geumcheon as a happy city where people want to live.
Mayor Yu Seong-hoon stated, “This year, we have set the goal of making the city valuable and the residents happy as ‘Geumcheon that empowers the lives of its residents,’ and we will make this year a ‘year of leap’ that announces new development and change in Geumcheon,” sharing the administrative direction with the residents.
