The Changwon FC Foundation awarded the appointment letter to Lee Young-jin, the inaugural head coach, on the 17th.

Coach Lee was appointed as the first head coach of the newly launched Changwon FC Foundation after going through a recent public recruitment process and overcoming fierce competition.

Chairman Hong Nam-pyo expressed to the new coach Lee Young-jin, "I hope you will demonstrate your capabilities so that Changwon FC can establish itself as a club that receives the interest and love of the citizens through vibrant performances," and added, "I ask you to show leadership based on honesty and trust in coaching the players so that they can fully demonstrate their abilities."

Coach Lee said, "I feel infinite honor and heavy responsibility to be appointed as the inaugural head coach of the newly launched Changwon FC," and added, "I will do my best to leverage my football career and long experience as a coach to help Changwon FC become a prestigious club."

Meanwhile, Coach Lee Young-jin (born 1972), a native of Masan, joined Ilhwa Chunma, the predecessor of Seongnam FC, and played as a player for 10 years from 1994. He also participated in the 1996 AFC Asian Cup as a national team member. In 2013, he served as the head coach of FC Seoul professional football team, and from 2014 to 2016, he was the head coach and acting manager at Seongnam FC. From 2020 to 2023, he worked as the U-18 head coach at Yongin City Football Center.
