Round-trip Airfare and Accommodation Expenses Provided to 100 People in 24 Households
On the 16th, Gyeongnam Nonghyup announced that it had delivered round-trip airfare and living expenses for a visit to the home country of Vietnam to the multicultural rural family of Choi Hyun-sook and Son Young-man (4 members) at the Okjong Nonghyup headquarters in Hadong-gun, Gyeongnam, representing the Gyeongnam region.
At the event, Cho Chang-su, head of the Nonghyup Hadong-gun branch, and Jo Ho-nam, chairman of Okjong Nonghyup, attended.
In 2024, Gyeongnam Nonghyup will support a total of 24 families and 100 people in the Gyeongnam area with round-trip airfare and living expenses of 700,000 KRW per family as part of the home country visit support project for multicultural rural families.

The Nonghyup’s home country visit support project for multicultural rural families was provided annually from 2007 to 2019, but was suspended from 2020 due to COVID-19 and other reasons, and has now resumed.
The recipients of this home country visit are marriage immigrants who have lived in Korea for more than three years after marrying a Korean spouse and were recommended after more than five years had passed since receiving home country visit support from the Nonghyup Foundation and other organizations. Selected countries include Vietnam (14), China (3), the Philippines (3), Cambodia (2), Mongolia (1), and Japan (1).
Cho Geun-su, head of the headquarters, said, “We are very grateful to be able to restart the home country visit support project for multicultural families, which was suspended due to COVID-19,” and added, “Going forward, Gyeongnam Nonghyup will continue to be a strong supporter by showing interest and support for multicultural families who bring great vitality to rural areas while protecting agriculture and rural communities.”
