Several Dozens of Vehicles Damaged in Underground Parking Lot
Several teenagers caused trouble for residents by spraying fire extinguishers recklessly in an apartment underground parking lot. The teenagers recently caught by the police were all identified as 'Chokbeopsonyeon' (juveniles exempt from criminal punishment).
On the 17th, YTN reported that four teenagers caused a 'fire extinguisher commotion' at an apartment recently. They gathered in the underground parking lot at dawn when residents were asleep and sprayed fire extinguisher powder. It is said they even filmed each other while playing pranks.
The powder from the fire extinguishers they sprayed scattered throughout the parking lot, and parked cars were also reported to have been damaged. It was confirmed that more than 30 vehicles reported damage to the management office.
After receiving a report, the police arrived and eventually caught all four teenagers. However, since they were Chokbeopsonyeon aged between 10 and under 14, criminal punishment was not possible. Only the car wash expenses and other costs remained the responsibility of their parents.
YTN added that there were two similar incidents in the neighboring apartment complex where the incident occurred over the past two weeks.
