The CEO of Yuseong General Construction, who resisted paying subcontracting fees and delayed interest after being sanctioned by the Fair Trade Commission, has been reported to the prosecution.

On the 17th, the Fair Trade Commission announced that it had reported Yuseong General Construction and its CEO to the prosecution for failing to comply with the payment order corrective measures.

In January last year, the Fair Trade Commission imposed a payment order on Yuseong General Construction to pay 34 million KRW in unpaid subcontracting fees and delayed interest for the ‘painting work during the construction of the sales facility in Hyoseong-dong, Incheon,’ ‘painting work during the construction of multi-family housing in Yangbeol-ri, Opo-eup, Gyeonggi Province,’ and ‘epoxy and painting work during the remodeling of Somang Church in Wondang, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province.’

Yuseong General Construction, which was ordered by the Fair Trade Commission to pay subcontracting fees, has not complied with the corrective order to date despite receiving two subsequent enforcement reminder letters.

The Fair Trade Commission stated, "We will strictly respond to businesses that do not pay construction fees to small subcontractors and fail to comply with the Fair Trade Commission’s corrective orders, including pursuing criminal penalties."
