Completion of Contractor Selection through Pre-Qualification (PQ) Bid... Start in January... Total Investment of 10.3 Billion KRW... Upon Completion of Construction in 2026, Contributing to the Revitalization of Myeongil Traditional Market and Alleviation of Residential Parking Shortage
Kangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Soo-hee) announced on the 17th that it will commence the design service for the construction of an underground public parking lot linked to the Kangdong Advanced Complex Building starting January this year.
The underground parking lot project aims to alleviate parking difficulties in the densely populated residential area of Myeongil-dong and revitalize the Myeongil Traditional Market. It will be developed in connection with the Kangdong Advanced Complex Building development project by converting the underground space beneath the adjacent Yeomjugol Children's Park and part of the road into a parking lot. The project involves constructing a two-level underground public parking lot with a total floor area of 2,207㎡ and 52 parking spaces.
The district completed the selection of the design service company through a Pre-Qualification (PQ) bidding process in December 2023.
The district plans to start the design service in January, complete it by September, begin construction thereafter, and complete the construction by 2026.
Along with the underground public parking lot project, the remodeling of the aging children's park above ground will be completed, providing residents of the densely populated residential area of Myeongil-dong and users of the Myeongil Traditional Market with comfortable parking and resting spaces.
Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Kangdong-gu, stated, “We will spare no administrative support to ensure the prompt construction of the underground public parking lot linked to the Kangdong Advanced Complex Building so that residents can enjoy a more convenient living environment.”
