Gyeonggi-do to Strictly Investigate Real Estate Crimes Including 'Jeonse Fraud' This Year Gyeonggi-do 2024 Real Estate Major Task Promotion Directions

Gyeonggi Province will introduce a real estate safe and responsible brokerage service this year for young adults preparing for independence with little social experience. It will also operate an illegal activity reporting center to counter speculative activities by planned real estate investors.

On the 17th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will focus on promoting 86 tasks related to major plans in the land information sector this year.

Key initiatives include conducting special inspections targeting real estate agents suspected of jeonse fraud to prevent the socially problematic issue of 'jeonse scams.' In addition, strict investigations will be carried out against real estate crimes that disrupt the order of real estate transactions through illegal and disruptive acts.

Furthermore, to help young adults preparing for independence with little social experience secure their homes with peace of mind, the province will support safe and responsible brokerage services. It will also assign detailed road name addresses to vulnerable households to resolve social issues caused by the lack of detailed road name addresses.

Gyeonggi Province will promote ▲ the operation of a public land price system improvement team to ensure objectivity and fairness of official land prices ▲ small-scale unregistered land maintenance projects and continuous cadastral map maintenance to improve the reliability of cadastral information ▲ continuous operation of the illegal activity reporting center to counter speculative activities by planned real estate investors ▲ operation of a customized Gyeonggi real estate portal for residents ▲ support for emergency drone aerial photography to aid disaster and damage recovery, minimizing residents' property and human losses ▲ expansion of three-dimensional addresses for high-rise, underground, and internal roads, as well as assigning road name addresses to farm roads, forest paths, ports, and harbors ▲ integration and collaboration between cadastral re-survey projects and small-scale development projects to increase project synergy and strengthen publicity for consensus building.

Lee Gye-sam, Director of the Urban Housing Office of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Since all land information tasks greatly affect residents' property rights, we will share diverse ideas to help advance to the next level and work together with cities and counties to think and strive together."
