Magnitude 4.8 Aftershock in Ishikawa, Noto Peninsula, Japan... "No Tsunami Concern"

On the 16th at 6:42 PM, an aftershock with a magnitude of 4.8 occurred on the Noto (能登) Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, where a strong earthquake struck on the 1st.

The Japan Meteorological Agency emphasized that the earthquake's focal depth was 10 km and there is no concern for a tsunami.

In Shika Town, Ishikawa Prefecture, a seismic intensity of lower 5 was observed, and in Wajima City, an intensity of 4 was recorded.
