In the men's golf weekly world rankings announced on the afternoon of the 14th (local time), he received 2.20 points, climbing 13 spots from 52nd place last week. He accumulated points by finishing tied for 2nd at the PGA Tour Sony Open (total prize money $8.3 million), which concluded that morning at Waialae Country Club (par 70) in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. This marks his fifth runner-up finish since debuting on the PGA Tour in 2016.
Scottie Scheffler (USA), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), Jon Rahm (Spain), Viktor Hovland (Norway), and Xander Schauffele (USA) occupy the 1st to 5th positions respectively. Grayson Murray (USA), the winner of the Sony Open, significantly improved his ranking from 132nd last week to 46th. For Korea, Juhyung Kim is 14th, Sungjae Im 27th, Siwoo Kim 47th, and Kyunghoon Lee 78th.
