Approached by Female College Student Who Is a High School Senior
Also Sent Threatening Messages
The police have launched an investigation into a male high school senior accused of illegally filming a female college student and extorting money by threatening to distribute nude videos.
On the 15th, the Gongju Police Station in Chungnam announced that they had received a complaint against Mr. A (18) on charges of video filming, distribution, and intimidation.
According to the victim, Ms. B, Mr. A began approaching her, his senior in high school, around mid-last year. In October, he even lured her to his home and attempted sexual assault, but it was unsuccessful.
However, it has been understood that Mr. A threatened Ms. B by saying he would distribute videos of her nude to her school and friends if she did not give him money.
Last month, it was also confirmed that Mr. A extorted 5 million won in loans under Ms. B’s name through intimidation. It is known that the total amount Ms. B has lost so far exceeds 10 million won.
After Ms. B filed a complaint on the 12th and changed her contact information, Mr. A sent multiple threatening messages on her social networking service (SNS), including insults and phrases such as "Did you get the money?", "You said it was urgent, right?", and "Do you want your body XX sold?"
The police plan to begin a comprehensive investigation into the related damages based on Ms. B’s statement that there are more victims besides herself.
