Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 15th that it will officially approve the Daejang 1st and 2nd Urban High-Tech Industrial Complexes. These industrial complexes passed both the Gyeonggi Province Local Industrial Complex Plan review and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Metropolitan Area Adjustment Committee review between November and December last year.
The Bucheon Daejang Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex is an industrial complex designated within the Bucheon Daejang Public Housing District, created according to the purpose of the 3rd phase new town to realize a self-sufficient city with various infrastructures and residential conditions such as workplaces, housing, and living. It is planned to be developed on the west side with 334,387㎡ and the east side with 226,167㎡ respectively.

Bucheon City expects that the approval of this urban high-tech industrial complex will promote regional economic growth and serve as an important stepping stone for the development of future industry sectors. The city plans to actively work on attracting excellent companies by expanding awareness of the Daejang industrial complex through differentiated promotion and marketing, as well as building diverse networks and offering customized proposals.
Additionally, through a strategy establishment service for tenant placement, the city will select industry-specific layout plans considering the positional relationship with the public housing district, land supply methods, and detailed target industries. The basic management plan for the industrial complex will be announced in June, and the sales announcement is scheduled for the first half of next year.
Meanwhile, the 'SK Green Techno Campus Development Project,' for which a tenancy agreement was signed in April last year, is also progressing smoothly. The SK Green Techno Campus is a project promoted to establish a domestic research and development (R&D) hub to consolidate SK Group’s environmental R&D capabilities and personnel. The R&D centers of seven affiliates, including SK Innovation and SK On, will be located on approximately 136,000㎡ in the Bucheon Daejang 1st Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex, building dedicated infrastructure for developing new green business technologies.
Jo Yong-ik, Mayor of Bucheon, stated, "We will attract promising companies by leveraging the Daejang industrial complex and anchor companies as driving forces to further enhance synergy with the existing regional industrial ecosystem," and added, "We will revitalize the Bucheon Daejang industrial complex through active corporate attraction."
