Hyundai Glovis announced on the 15th that it will invest in shares of the standard workplace for the disabled, ‘Bravo Beaver Busan.’ This decision aims to help create jobs for people with developmental disabilities, with an investment equivalent to 18% of the workplace’s shares.
Bravo Beaver, devised by the social enterprise Bear Better, receives equity investments from companies and operates as an independent corporation to create jobs for people with developmental disabilities in various local communities. Each branch produces items such as confectionery sets, stationery, coffee drip bags, and handmade fruit syrups, helping people with developmental disabilities participate in society.

The Bravo Beaver Busan branch, opening this year, is the fourth branch following Daegu, Incheon, and Gyeonggi-do. About 50 people with disabilities will mainly produce chocolates and other confectionery products. Among companies, Hyundai Glovis has made the largest investment.
The standard workplace for the disabled is a system that supports the creation of stable jobs for people with disabilities. It refers to places that employ a certain percentage or more of people with disabilities and have facilities that meet the standards of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled. As of 2022, there are 622 such workplaces nationwide, employing 14,407 people with disabilities.
In 2013, Hyundai Glovis became the first domestic logistics company to hire visually impaired massage therapists as health keepers at its workplaces, promoting community participation while also taking care of the health of truck drivers. Hyundai Glovis plans to make additional equity investments when a fifth Bravo Beaver branch opens in another region.
