Opening of 'I-Mom Gangdong Gangil Branch' as a Fully Remodeled Kids Cafe from the 22nd
Offering Various Activities Including Up-and-Down and Digital Ball Pool for a Child-Friendly Gangdong
Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Soo-hee) will remodel the entire 'I-Mom Gangdong Gangil Branch' and open the Seoul-style Kids Cafe Sangil 2-dong Branch, a larger and more diverse play space, on the 22nd.
The Seoul-style Kids Cafe is an indoor play space where all children can run and play without restrictions such as fine dust or weather, offering affordable fees, play activities, and childcare services, which have received great responses on site.
The newly opened Seoul-style Kids Cafe Sangil 2-dong Branch (95 Sangil-ro 12-gil, Purunae Building 102, 3rd floor) has a dedicated area of 302.9㎡.
The facility interior includes spaces not previously experienced in indoor playgrounds, such as ▲sand play ▲large fishing play ▲up-and-down playground ▲ball pool combined with digital elements ▲chalkboard play.
Additionally, upon request from guardians (parents), a childcare worker will support the safe play of children through a 'playcare service.'
The service is available for preschool children aged 36 months and older, and playcare service can be used by applying for childcare when reserving the Seoul-style Kids Cafe.
Furthermore, a toy library equipped with a variety of toys ranging from small to large by age group is also operated together. Any Gangdong-gu resident with preschool-aged children can use it, and for an annual fee of 20,000 KRW, one person can borrow 2 toys and 3 books for 2 weeks (extendable up to 4 weeks).
Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, stated, “We will continue to actively respond to residents' diverse demands for parenting support to make Gangdong-gu a great place to raise children,” adding, “Through the expansion of 19 Seoul-style Kids Cafes per district, we will get closer to local residents and provide childcare services without blind spots.”
The Seoul-style Kids Cafe Sangil 2-dong Branch is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and advance reservations can be made on the 1st and 16th of each month at 9 a.m. via the Our Neighborhood Care Portal.
In addition, the toy library opens its reservation window every Saturday at 11 a.m. on the I-Mom Gangdong website. The indoor playground usage fee is 2,000 KRW for a 2-hour session, and the playcare service is free of charge.
