The Buk-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City held a mock council meeting for children and adolescents.
On the 12th, the council provided an opportunity to experience democracy and local autonomy for 14 children of members belonging to the Northern Green Mothers' Association.
The event was organized to allow participants to experience the roles and functions of local councils through ▲watching educational videos ▲listening to reports on the progress of major tasks ▲3-minute free speeches.
Chairman Kim Hyung-su said, "Children and adolescents are our hope and future who will lead the country," and added, "I hope the mock council will serve as an opportunity to develop the capabilities of democratic citizens and grow into outstanding talents."
