Lee Chang-kwon, CEO of KB Kookmin Card, "Must Have Faith in Success Even Amid Complex Crises" Lee Chang-kwon, CEO of KB Kookmin Card, is presenting at the '2024 First Half KB Kookmin Card Management Strategy Meeting' held on the 12th.

KB Kookmin Card announced on the 14th that it held the '2024 First Half Management Strategy Meeting' on the 12th, attended by 99 people including CEO Lee Chang-kwon, executives, heads of headquarters departments, and branch managers.


The management strategy meeting was held under the theme 'KB Kookmin Card S.P.U.R.T 2024.' Given the unfavorable external conditions such as reduced consumer spending this year and the uncertain business environment, the meeting sought flexible and proactive crisis response measures to establish a virtuous growth cycle based on core business growth and the full-scale expansion of future businesses.


In the morning session, starting with the major management achievements of 2023 and the management plan for 2024, the medium- to long-term management strategy for the next three years was presented. Attendees shared the medium- to long-term goals for KB Kookmin Card’s sustainable growth based on the analysis of external environments and internal competitiveness diagnosis results.


In the afternoon session, participants empathized with why diversity and inclusion become strengths through a lecture titled 'Outstanding Experts VS Ordinary Experts' by Professor Kim Kyung-il of Ajou University’s Department of Psychology. Additionally, through a lecture on '2024 Trend Korea' by Jeon Mi-young, a research fellow at Seoul National University’s Consumer Trend Analysis Center and one of the authors of the Trend Korea series, the consumption trend flow and implications for the year were presented.


Lee Chang-kwon, CEO of KB Kookmin Card, introduced the case of Park Sang-young winning the gold medal with a dramatic comeback in the men's fencing final at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He said, “The secret to overcoming the urgent crisis with a large score gap was the desire to win, the belief that it was possible, and the challenge for victory,” adding, “In the midst of a complex crisis, when belief in success is combined with everyone’s support, our challenge can also lead to success.”
