Gangnam-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong) conducted a joint inspection of Guryong Village on the 13th together with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Seoul City, and Gangnam Fire Station. This inspection was an opportunity for each organization to come together and discuss fire prevention measures to ensure that a tragedy like the January fire in Guryong Village District 4 last year does not recur.

Gangnam District Mayor Jo Seong-myeong visited the site with Lee Sang-min, Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and exchanged opinions on fire prevention measures while jointly inspecting firefighting facilities such as fire extinguishers and fire hydrants.

Mayor Jo Seong-myeong stated, “We patrol the site daily and inspect facilities to manage fire safety in Guryong Village,” adding, “We will continue to work closely with related organizations to ensure safety management for the remaining residents while the Guryong Village development project is underway.”
