Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 10th local time at CES2024 in Las Vegas, USA, that Changwon startups HydroLux (hydrogen storage system), Gonggong (water filter air purifier), and GSF System (smart farm) received innovation awards.
Mayor Hong Nam-pyo presented the CES2024 innovation awards to the three startups and congratulated them.
HydroLux, which received the innovation award this year, is a company engaged in research, development, and commercialization of hydrogen storage systems. It is a promising company in Changwon City, which operates the nation’s top-level hydrogen vehicle distribution and hydrogen charging stations, and is growing into a global company leading the world hydrogen industry.
Gonggong is a promising Changwon company that attracted an investment of 500 million KRW in January last year from the C-Bluewing Fund No. 2, the ‘Next Generation Regional New Deal & Bio Fund,’ and is a developer of air purifiers using water filters.
GSF System received the CES innovation award again this year following last year, and is a smart farm company that has been proudly recognized for its innovative technology in global technology competition.
Mayor Hong said, “Congratulations on the CES innovation award wins of the three companies. Changwon City will actively support local innovative companies to gain more opportunities.”
Meanwhile, Changwon City has supported a total of 44 local companies to participate in CES since 2019, and at CES 2023, two companies from Changwon City also received innovation awards.
