[One Day Walk] Trekking Where History Breathes... 'Seoul Dulle-gil 2.0' Course 3

The departure point is at Exit 1 of Danggogae Station. After crossing the crosswalk and walking straight, you will notice a guide sign indicating the entrance to the course. Following the sign, passing through the alleys between villas, you will find the course entrance. After entering the course and walking along the gentle slope of Bulamsan Mountain, a flat rock appears on the left. This is the Yeogeunseok, a phallic stone that has been prayed to for abundance and fertility since ancient times. Yeogeunseok is a symbolic object erected near villages as part of folk beliefs during the agricultural era. It was mainly intended to pray for fertility and abundance, but according to geomancy theories, it was also erected with meanings such as 'supplementing yang and yin energy.' Originally, it was located in a secluded mountain area, but with the creation of the Dulle-gil trail, it has become a place frequently visited by people.

After passing the fitness center and spring, you will come across 'Taereung.' This is the tomb of Queen Munjeong Yoon, the second consort of King Jungjong, the 11th king of the Joseon Dynasty. Along with Gangneung, the tomb of King Myeongjong and Queen Insun Shim, it was designated as Historic Site No. 201 on May 26, 1970. Initially, Queen Munjeong intended to be buried next to King Jungjong and moved his Jeongneung tomb beside Seolleung because the geomancy of Jeongneung was considered unfavorable. Jeongneung was originally next to the tomb of the first consort, Queen Janggyong. However, since the new site of Jeongneung was low-lying and frequently flooded, she was ultimately not buried there and was instead interred at the current location, failing to fulfill her wish to be buried next to King Jungjong.

After visiting Taereung, descending along the path between Seoul National University of Science and Technology and Seoul Women's University, you will soon arrive at the final destination, Hwarangdae Station. Here, you can stamp the certification stamp, one of the highlights of the Seoul Dulle-gil.
