Sidhu, who has also participated in Taekwondo championships, reportedly punched the sandbag for 55 hours and 15 minutes, beating the previous record by 5 minutes. According to Guinness World Records regulations, he had to punch the sandbag at least once every 2 seconds. Additionally, he was only allowed a 5-minute break every hour. Sidhu said, "I have been practicing martial arts for 25 years," and added, "I decided to challenge this world record with the desire to contribute to my country."
Sidhu revealed that he faced several hardships during the challenge to get listed in the Guinness Book. He said, "The pain started around the 20-hour mark. At that point, I tested my limits." He continued, "The second night after starting the challenge was also tough because I couldn't sleep for about 30 hours." Sidhu added, "Enduring this process was difficult, but the encouragement and support from my friends and family helped me overcome my limits."
Sidhu trained for about 8 hours daily for approximately 6 months to prepare for the Guinness Book listing. He said, "The hardest part was mental preparation," and added, "To attempt this, I had to be mentally and physically strong."
