[One Day Walk] Su-rak Mountain and Bul-am Mountain Trekking with the Strong Scent of Azaleas... 'Seoul Dulle-gil 2.0' Course 2

The departure point is Exit 3 of Danggogae Station in Nowon-gu, Seoul. After passing Suraksan Danggogae District Park, which is visible in front, you can enter the mountain. Climb toward Gwimibong, and at the Danggogae Park fork, head right. As you enjoy the mountain terrain while walking, you will reach Deokneung Pass, where there is a signpost marking the start of the Bulamsan Dulle-gil trail. This place connects Suraksan and Bulamsan in Nowon-gu and has an ecological overpass installed, allowing not only people but also animals to cross.

Bulamsan is a low rocky mountain with a height of 508 meters, located on the border of Sanggye-dong and Junggye-dong in Nowon-gu, Seoul, and Byeollae-myeon in Namyangju City. Since it is a sandstone mountain, the trees are not dense, but the ridges are connected by unique rock formations, and the azaleas in spring resemble a flower garden. The mountain is named Bulamsan because its shape resembles a Buddha wearing a pine hat, and it is also called Cheonbosan or Pilamsan.

After passing Deokneung Pass, the trail from Bulamsan continues with relatively gentler slopes compared to Suraksan. After taking a breather and walking, you will come across the Bulamsan Cheoljjuk Hill. It is planted with 100,000 azalea bushes, creating a spectacular view during the azalea season. Nearby are 'Cafe Forest,' where you can enjoy drinks, the 'Butterfly Garden,' where you can observe butterflies living year-round, and the 'Forest Healing Center,' which promotes mental and physical relaxation, making it one of Nowon-gu’s representative healing spaces.

Near the end of the course, you will find the Bulamsan Observatory. It is equipped with an elevator, making it easily accessible for the elderly and those with mobility issues. From the observatory, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of Bulamsan, Suraksan, Dobongsan, and Bukhansan, so it is highly recommended to stop by.
