Industry-Academia Agreement Signed On the 9th, a business agreement for industry-academia cooperation and long-term exchange was signed at the Arsen Hall of Village de Ananti, and a group photo was taken after the Dongseo University-Ananti agreement ceremony.

Attending the event were Dongseo University President Jang Je-guk, Vice President of Academic Affairs Nam Ho-su, Director of Academic Affairs Kim Young, Director of Industry-Academia Cooperation Hwang Ki-hyun, Deputy Director of LINC 3.0 Kim Jeong-sook, Director of Industry-Academia Education Jang Hye-joo, Professor Hong Jeong-hwa and Professor Lee Cheol-jin from the Department of Hotel Management. Representing Ananti were Vice President Lee Dae-hyun, General Director Lee Hong-mo, Head of Room Management Jeon Mi-ae, Head of Food & Retail Division Heo Jeong-hwa, Captain Ananti Team Leader Kim Dong-wook, Food & Beverage Team Leader Choi Chang-geun, Room Team Leader Shin Ji-hye, and HR Team Leader Jo Jae-hyun, along with other key officials from both organizations.

Through this agreement, both institutions agreed to cooperate mainly on ▲ joint operation of industry-academia education courses ▲ special recruitment by Ananti for all students who complete the industry-academia education courses and long-term field training ▲ scholarship donations of up to 10 million KRW per semester and up to 100 million KRW over five years from 2024 to 2028. They also plan to promote projects for mutual development and joint benefits, establish a practical industry-academia cooperation system focused on cultivating practical and responsive talents required by companies, and pursue diverse projects for collaborative business promotion and advanced human resource management.

In particular, this industry-academia agreement stipulates that Ananti will guide students from their third year to acquire practical skills needed by the company through industry-academia courses based on employment prospects. In the fourth year, students will rapidly gain practical experience on-site through mid- to long-term field training and early employment systems at Ananti’s hotels. Moreover, during the third-year curriculum, students will receive scholarships in the form of learning incentives, and preferential hiring conditions will be offered upon employment linkage after course completion.

Already, the Department of Hotel Management at Dongseo University and Ananti have cooperated in the second semester of 2023 by opening an industry-academia course called “Ananti Operations Management,” which focused on leading corporate culture in the hotel resort industry essential for actual employment at Ananti. As a result, all enrolled students received scholarships from Ananti during the semester and had employment opportunities after completion. The company also incorporated students’ creative ideas into operations and provided opportunities to hire students who completed the OJT program.

This agreement aims to complete a special process from discovering and nurturing outstanding talents to hiring by having the university prepare an education curriculum optimized for the company and the company assist students with quality educational conditions and high-level hiring terms.

President Jang Je-guk of Dongseo University said, “The Department of Hotel Management at Dongseo University is a department that constantly strives to cultivate professional hoteliers, paying close attention to industry changes and working hard to nurture talents needed by the industry. Ananti is a company that has grown together with much effort from Ananti Cove and Village de Ananti in East Busan, and we are very grateful for their proactive support of advanced educational methods and differentiated industry-academia cooperation programs.”

In response, Ananti Vice President Lee Dae-hyun and General Director Lee Hong-mo stated, “The chronic manpower shortage in the hotel industry is a challenge that companies and universities must jointly consider and solve. It is important to seek progressive models and directions through mutual concern, sacrifice, and effort. We hope to continuously grow by forming a mutually cooperative relationship with Dongseo University for Ananti’s mid- to long-term talent development and by supporting and understanding each other’s development.”
