Kim Dae-sik, president of Gyeongnam Information University, has announced his candidacy for the 22nd National Assembly election.
On the 9th at 11 a.m., President Kim declared at the Busan City Council that he would run as a preliminary candidate in Sasang-gu, Busan, which was left vacant due to Representative Jang Je-won's withdrawal. In his declaration, Kim Dae-sik began by saying, "I am a 'real' Sasang person who has taught in Sasang for 35 years and raised all three of my children in Sasang."
“While working as a university president in Sasang, I have witnessed the remarkable development of Sasang in recent years and felt proud,” he said. “However, I am saddened by the reality that young people have to leave Busan to find employment, so I have been contemplating the development of Sasang, the place where I have lived my life,” he explained his reason for running.
He emphasized that it is time to devote all his experience as an administrative expert who faithfully served two vice-ministerial positions in previous governments and as an education expert who has taught students for over 30 years.
