"Fostering the Development of Multimedia and ICT Convergence Industries"
The Korea Multimedia Society (President Hyunki Kim, Department of Software Convergence, Andong National University) has partnered with specialized companies in the ICT sector to foster and develop the multimedia and ICT convergence industry.
The society announced on the 8th that it signed a business agreement on the 29th of last month with D.M. Studio Co., Ltd. (CEO Ohjun Kwon) and Global Topnet Co., Ltd. (CEO Hyunho Lee) at the Korea Multimedia Society Secretariat in Jaesong-dong, Haeundae.
The Korea Multimedia Society signed a business agreement on the 29th of last month at the society's office in Jaesong-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan, with DM Studio (CEO Kwon Oh-jun) and Global Topnet (CEO Lee Hyun-ho) to promote the development of the multimedia and ICT convergence industries.
Through this agreement, each organization agreed to mutually cooperate on current issues such as fostering and developing industries that integrate ICT technologies including artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, and virtual reality (VR)?key technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution?as well as training specialized personnel.
Hyunki Kim, President of the Korea Multimedia Society, stated, “The importance of industry-academia cooperation is increasingly emphasized in the rapidly changing modern society,” adding, “We will devote our efforts to leading technological advancement and making greater contributions to local communities through active collaboration between ICT researchers and industry professionals at the forefront of technological development.”
The society, founded in Busan in 1997, is the largest academic society in Korea for multimedia technology and ICT technology applications. As of 2023, it has 9,000 members and is a leading academic society in the domestic ICT field.
