Gyeonggi Office of Education Announces Public Recruitment for 24 Alternative Education Consignment Institutions Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will publicly recruit about 24 alternative education entrusted institutions this year.


The Office of Education announced on the 7th that from the 9th to the 23rd of this month, it will conduct a public recruitment for alternative education entrusted institutions targeting ▲national and public educational institutions and affiliated organizations ▲public institutions ▲non-profit corporations or social organizations.


Alternative education entrusted institutions operate alternative curricula tailored to students' characteristics along with regular subjects such as Korean and history, while maintaining the original school enrollment for students who have difficulty adapting to school life. The entrusted institutions will be responsible for education from March 1 this year to January 31 next year.


Target students will return to their original schools after completing the entrusted education at the institutions designated by the Superintendent of Education.


The Office of Education will designate about 24 institutions through evaluation and announce the results on its website after the 19th of next month.


Um Shin-ok, Director of the Education Welfare Division at the Office of Education, said, "We will help students who have difficulty in their studies adapt to school and return to their original schools through alternative education tailored to their characteristics," adding, "We will strengthen dropout prevention by operating alternative education entrusted institutions that provide customized education for students."
