Korea Electronics Holdings is showing strong performance. As Chinese e-commerce platforms AliExpress and Temu rapidly grow in the domestic market and announce plans to establish logistics centers, Korea Electronics Holdings, which has been selected twice for the national project to build smart joint logistics centers, is gaining attention.
As of 2:25 PM on the 4th, Korea Electronics Holdings is trading at 979 KRW, up 6.18% compared to the previous day.
According to a media report on the day, AliExpress's monthly active users (MAU) reached 5.04 million as of November last year, a 220% increase from 2.27 million at the beginning of the year. During the same period, the number of users of the Chinese shopping app Temu surged from less than 10,000 to 2.35 million.
Accordingly, it is analyzed that securing their logistics centers is also expected to be confirmed. Previously, AliExpress stated that it is considering establishing a logistics center in Korea this year. Additionally, Alibaba Group’s local partner in Korea plans to launch a B2B platform early this year, increasing the need for logistics centers.
Meanwhile, Korea Electronics Holdings was selected for the first and second phases of the national project for building and operating the smart logistics platform in the KEC Device Industrial Complex in 2022 and last year. It is also known to have been responsible for constructing Coupang’s logistics center in 2021.
