On June 3, Dongyang Life announced the launch of the '(Non-Participating) Guardian Angel Surgery Insurance for Everyone,' which provides broad coverage ranging from basic surgeries to the latest medical procedures.
This new product is designed with death coverage as the main contract and minimizes diseases excluded from coverage through various riders. By subscribing to the disease surgery rider, policyholders can receive multi-layered insurance benefits depending on the cause of surgery, method, and treatment hospital level.
Additionally, by subscribing to the Specific Benefit Procedure Coverage Rider S (renewable), coverage is provided for procedures excluded from the surgery definition (such as aspiration, puncture, and nerve block). When subscribing to the Benefit CT, MRI Examination Rider S (renewable) and Benefit Medical Expense Support Rider S (renewable) (limited to once per year), examinations, outpatient visits, hospitalization, surgery, and nursing care performed before and after surgery are also covered. If the policyholder subscribes to the Premium Waiver Rider S (Surgery) and is diagnosed with cancer, cerebrovascular disease, or ischemic heart disease and undergoes surgery, premium payments for the main contract and riders can be waived. It is also possible to choose whether to waive premiums for minor cancer surgeries.
This product is available in both general underwriting types (non-surrender value payment type, standard type) and simplified underwriting types (non-surrender value payment type, standard type), making it easy for those with pre-existing conditions or elderly individuals to enroll.
Applicants aged 15 to a maximum of 80 years can subscribe, with payment periods of 10, 15, 20, or 30 years, and insurance terms selectable between maturity at age 80, 90, or lifetime. However, renewable riders have terms of 10 or 20 years.
A Dongyang Life representative stated, “As medical technology and treatments advance, the need for new medical technologies is gradually increasing. Reflecting this trend, we have launched an insurance product that offers the industry's widest disease coverage along with various surgical treatments, and we hope many customers will carefully receive broad coverage.”
