However, the specific condition of Lee is not yet known. Regarding whether Lee can communicate, Park said, "We have no information at all," explaining, "Because he has been in the ICU since the surgery yesterday."

Park emphasized the possibility of a premeditated attack in relation to the assault on Lee. He said, "The perpetrator was very familiar with the situation at the scene," and added, "According to those who were present yesterday, the attack on the party leader was so severe that a secretary standing behind was shocked and fell down." He continued, "The attack was that intense, and there were second and third strikes. Witnesses said that even when the police subdued the suspect, he resisted strongly, and they truly felt his intent to kill."

Regarding reports that the suspect was a former member of the Democratic Party, Park stated, "It is not appropriate at this time to make any political interpretations or assumptions about the matter," and emphasized, "The most important thing is to thoroughly investigate who this person is, what the motive was, and how the crime was planned."

About the emergency party meeting held that morning, he said, "We plan to gather consensus through the meeting, and I believe there will be updates on Lee Jae-myung’s condition and the current situation," adding, "It will likely be an opportunity to hear the opinions of the members on future response measures."
