Ministry of Health and Welfare-Hosted Excellence in "Community Social Security Plan Implementation Results" Field
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) has been selected as an "Excellent Local Government" in the 2023 Regional Welfare Project Evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in the category of "2022 Community Security Plan Implementation Results."
The Ministry of Health and Welfare conducts an annual evaluation of regional welfare projects targeting 229 local governments nationwide to improve welfare levels and disseminate excellent welfare administration cases.
This year, Jungnang-gu earned the honor in the "Community Security Plan Implementation Results" category. The "Community Security Plan" is a comprehensive plan established under the Social Security Benefits Act, encompassing all areas of social security related to improving residents' quality of life, including care, health, culture, and education. The district was highly recognized for its systematic establishment and management of project plans.
Specifically, Jungnang-gu was finally selected as an excellent institution through evaluations in five areas and 14 indicators: ▲faithfulness of plan content ▲appropriateness of implementation process ▲excellence of implementation results ▲resident participation, satisfaction, and public-private cooperation ▲project management and efforts to strengthen capabilities.
The district is promoting projects reflecting regional characteristics to improve the quality of life of Jungnang-gu residents.
A representative example is the "Care SOS Center Project," which provides care services in cooperation with related organizations to residents in need of care, such as single-person households and elderly living alone.
From enacting ordinances to signing business agreements with related organizations such as hospitals and welfare facilities, conducting capacity-building education and meetings, the district has been striving to eliminate care blind spots. The "Prevention of Solitary Death Project," which continuously identifies socially isolated households using smart systems and welfare communities, has laid the foundation for strengthening a dense welfare safety net.
In addition, the district received high evaluations for actively discovering and promoting various projects focused on providing residents with diverse cultural enjoyment opportunities through flexible application of face-to-face and non-face-to-face methods in "Expanding Cultural Infrastructure," and strengthening educational competitiveness with other districts through "Promoting Excellent Educational Projects."
