Although the sky will be mostly cloudy nationwide, making it difficult to see the sunset, some areas where the low clouds thin out may have a chance to see the sunset through the clouds.
Some parts of the Chungcheong and Jeolla regions will experience rain or snow until the evening, while Jeju Island, the Yeongdong area of Gangwon Province, and the northern East Coast of Gyeongbuk will see rain or snow until late at night. Morning low temperatures are expected to range from -1°C to 8°C, and daytime highs from 4°C to 11°C.
The expected snowfall over two days from the 30th is 1 to 3 cm in the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong, and Jeolla regions; 1 to 5 cm in the southern East Coast of Gangwon, northern inland and northeastern mountains of Gyeongbuk, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island. Additional snowfall accumulation is expected to be 5 to 15 cm in the Gangwon mountains (over 30 cm in the northern mountains), 5 to 10 cm on the central and northern East Coast of Gangwon (over 15 cm in the northern East Coast), 3 to 8 cm inland in Gangwon, and around 1 cm in the Gyeongsang region.
During the same period, expected precipitation amounts are 5 to 10 mm in the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong, Jeonbuk, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, Ulleungdo, Dokdo, and Jeju Island. Around 5 mm of rain is expected in Gwangju, Jeonnam, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, and 5 to 20 mm in Gangwon Province. Fine dust levels will remain high, especially in western regions, due to residual fine dust from the previous day and the influx of foreign fine dust. Incheon, southern Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, Honam, Daegu, Gyeongbuk, and Jeju areas are expected to have 'bad' air quality, while other regions will be 'moderate.'
Strong winds with gusts exceeding 55 km/h are expected in most parts of the country, so caution is advised for facility management and safety accidents. Thunderstorms with gusts are expected over the East Sea, so maritime safety precautions are recommended. Sea waves will range from 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea nearshore, 1.0 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea nearshore, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea nearshore. Offshore waves (about 200 km from the coastline) are expected to be 1.5 to 5.0 meters in the East Sea, 1.5 to 4.0 meters in the West Sea, and 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the South Sea.
