On the 30th, the People Power Party criticized independent lawmaker Kim Nam-guk, whose virtual asset transaction records amounting to 111.8 billion KRW were revealed, saying, "Return your salary and apologize profusely to the people."

Shin Ju-ho, the full-time deputy spokesperson of the People Power Party, issued a statement that day, saying, "Not only did Representative Kim, who showed the traits of a full-time investor, treat his position as a lawmaker as a side job, but he also consistently lied to mock the public."

The day before, the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission announced the results of a "full investigation of lawmakers' virtual assets," revealing that the scale of virtual assets (coins) bought and sold by 21st National Assembly members over two years reached 125.6 billion KRW. Of this, 89%, or 111.8 billion KRW, belonged to Representative Kim. His purchase amount was 55.5 billion KRW, and his sales amount was 56.3 billion KRW. The cumulative profit Kim earned from coin trading was approximately 800 million KRW.

Deputy Spokesperson Shin strongly criticized, "Representative Kim filed an objection to the court's compulsory mediation decision and shamelessly claimed he had taken political responsibility," adding, "He consistently made excuses and did not stop deceiving the public." He further said, "Can this be covered up just because he falsely left the Democratic Party and declared he would not run again?" and pointed out, "'The Kim Nam-guk coin scandal' symbolically represents the moral bankruptcy of the Democratic Party, which has consistently taken a lukewarm stance due to sentimentalism simply because he is 'pro-Lee Jae-myung (Chinmyeong).'"

He also raised his voice, saying, "It is astonishing how Representative Kim, who outwardly pretends to repent but inwardly complains about what wrong he has done, shows such arrogance," and asked, "Is this the image of the Democratic Party that claims to be a moral and ethical party?"
