Jindo-gun Selected as an Excellent Institution in the '2023 Disaster Response Safe Korea Training'

Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, was selected as an excellent institution in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's '2023 Disaster Response Safe Korea Training' evaluation.

According to the county on the 29th, the 2023 Safe Korea Training was conducted last month, assuming a disaster situation where a large fire occurred, part of a building collapsed, and multiple casualties occurred, linking and conducting the disaster site and the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters in real time.

The training involved 12 organizations and groups including Jindo-gun, Jindo Police Station, Jindo Fire Station, Jindo Korean Hospital, Volunteer Fire Brigade, and the Korean Red Cross, as well as over 200 residents.

In particular, by using the disaster safety communication network (PS-LTE) and large monitors to broadcast the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters and on-site situations in real time, the integrated linked training, similar to an actual situation, strengthened disaster response capabilities and received excellent evaluations.

County Governor Kim Hee-su said, "The selection as an excellent institution in this disaster response Safe Korea Training is the result of mutual cooperation and active participation between the public and private sectors," adding, "We will continue to do our best to make Jindo a safer and better place to live."
