The utilization and sales of Laon Sleep, which can diagnose the severity of sleep apnea with a simple test using artificial intelligence (AI), are expected to be fully launched.
AI medical specialist company LaonMedi announced on the 28th that it has obtained medical device manufacturing approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for the sleep apnea diagnostic support solution 'Laon Sleep.'
Laon Sleep is an AI medical new technology developed to enable fast and simple diagnosis of sleep apnea by utilizing the patient's basic biometric information and CT imaging data, performing AI algorithms and fluid dynamics simulations to calculate effective values.

With the application of Laon Sleep in sleep clinics and sleep specialty hospitals, patients with sleep disorders are expected to receive affordable, easy, and rapid testing and treatment, bringing significant changes to the field of sleep testing and diagnosis. LaonMedi plans to actively promote the sleep apnea diagnosis business by utilizing Laon Sleep in health checkups to improve quality of life and promote public health.
Laon Sleep, recognized for its high technological intensity and socio-economic ripple effects, has been designated as Korea's 11th innovative medical device by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and its applicability in related fields is expected to expand further.
Meanwhile, LaonMedi, a subsidiary of AI specialist company LaonPeople, plans to grow as a digital healthcare specialist by expanding the supply of Laon Sleep and establishing cooperative systems with global companies related to sleep medicine.
