On the 28th, the Supreme Court's 3rd Division (Presiding Justice Ahn Cheol-sang) upheld the appellate ruling in the lawsuit filed by victims and their families of forced labor against Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, ordering the company to compensate each victim 90 million KRW, partially ruling in favor of the plaintiffs.
On the same day, the Supreme Court's 3rd Division (Presiding Justice Oh Seok-jun) also upheld the appellate ruling in another damage compensation lawsuit filed by a forced labor victim against Hitachi Zosen Corporation, ordering the payment of 50 million KRW to the plaintiff, partially ruling in favor of the plaintiff.
