Kim Mikyung, Eunpyeong District Mayor, "We Will Expand Tangible Support Policies"

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong District Office in Seoul, stated in her New Year's address on the 2nd, "This year, we will prepare customized policies tailored to the needs of each Eunpyeong resident," and added, "As new projects, we will introduce practical and tangible policies that truly benefit residents, such as supporting exam fees for youth certifications, establishing a youth employment academy, implementing the Eunpyeong-style all-in-one support project for people with disabilities, and creating a playground for pets."


Mayor Kim said, "We will go directly to places where help is needed, and make the district office a place where residents want to visit anytime," and emphasized, "We will continue on-site administration that listens directly to the voices of residents."


To this end, this year, she promised to improve the civil service office and provide customized civil services, build a complex community center incorporating a library, cultural center, and kids cafe, create youth sports experience facilities and above-ground sports facilities at the metropolitan resource circulation center, and develop the Bongsan cypress forest and a healthy loess trail, among various convenience facilities. She also reaffirmed the intention to start construction within the year on the Tongil-ro bypass road and the Western Line urban railway.


Additionally, she announced plans to operate services such as hospital accompaniment for the elderly, expansion of Eunpyeong-style smart crosswalks, application of crime prevention environmental design, and psychological counseling programs tailored to different life stages.


Mayor Kim stated, "Eunpyeong will be connected in all directions through the GTX-A and metropolitan transportation network development, and will be reborn as an economic hub through the development of Seoul Innovation Park and the Susaek DMC station area," adding, "With the National Korean Literature Museum equipped with rich cultural content and the creation of a cultural tourism belt, as well as river restoration and carbon neutrality practices, Eunpyeong will become a sustainable district where nature and humans coexist."
