608 Public and 328 Private, 936 Total Pass
Second Exam on January 17, 23-24 Next Year
Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yun-su) announced the 936 successful candidates for the "2024 Academic Year Public and Private Secondary School Teacher (including Health, Librarian, Professional Counseling, Nutrition, and Special Secondary Education) Appointment Candidate Selection Competition 1st Exam" at 10 a.m. on the 28th through the Office of Education's website.
For public school candidates, 1.5 times the planned number of recruits per subject were selected, and all candidates with tied scores were accepted. In the general category, 600 candidates passed out of 387 recruits, and in the disability category, 8 candidates passed out of 32 recruits.
Among the 43 private school corporations that entrusted the exam to the Busan Office of Education, 328 candidates were selected for 111 recruits. Among them, 44 candidates passed both public and private school applications simultaneously. For private school corporations, the number of candidates selected in the 1st exam was 3 to 5 times the planned number depending on the corporation.
The 2nd exam will be held on January 17 next year at exam venues including Busan Student Education and Culture Center, Busan Physical Education High School, and Busan Electronics Technical High School, where practical tests for seven subjects such as Music, Art, Physical Education, Electricity, Electronics, Mechanical, and Information & Computer will be conducted.
Then, on January 23 and 24, over two days, at Busan Electronics Technical High School, Busanjin Girls' Commercial High School, and Yeomyeong Middle School, tests such as 'Preparation of Teaching and Learning Plans,' 'Class Demonstration,' and 'In-depth Interview on Teaching Aptitude' will be conducted.
Among the private school corporations, 11 that entrusted the 2nd exam will take part in some parts of the 2nd exam conducted by the Office of Education, while the 32 corporations that only entrusted the 1st exam will conduct the 2nd exam independently.
The final successful candidates for public schools will be announced on February 8 next year on the Office of Education's website, and for private schools that entrusted the 2nd exam to the Office of Education, announcements will be made through the respective school corporations.
