McDonald's Tastes 'Korea'... 19 Million Units Sold Including Changnyeong Garlic Burger

'Taste of Korea' is McDonald's Korea's local sourcing project that launches various menu items using high-quality domestic agricultural products, aiming to provide customers with delicious and fresh menus while revitalizing the local economy.

Representative products include ▲Naju Pear Chiller ▲Jeju Hallabong Chiller ▲Changnyeong Garlic Burger ▲Boseong Nokdon Burger ▲Jindo Green Onion Cream Croquette Burger ▲Honey Butter Injeolmi Fries.

McDonald's Korea has continuously released menus utilizing regional specialties, widely promoting the excellence of local specialty ingredients and contributing to the development of the domestic agricultural and food industry through large-scale procurement of agricultural products. For these efforts, it recently received the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Award.

Over the past three years, approximately 130 tons of Changnyeong garlic have been procured for the 'Changnyeong Garlic Burger,' and through the 'Jindo Green Onion Cream Croquette Burger' launched this year, about 100 tons of Jindo green onions were purchased, contributing to income generation for local farmers.

A McDonald's Korea official stated, "Through the 'Taste of Korea' campaign, McDonald's has been introducing unique Korean flavors every year to satisfy customers' tastes while supporting local farmers. We will continue to seek and implement ways to coexist with the local economy from the menu development stage onward."
