Gyeonggi-do Publishes 2023 Library Series and Librarian Review Collection

On the 27th, Gyeonggi Province published the 'Gyeonggi-do Library Series 2 Types' and the 'Gyeonggi-do Librarian Book Review Collection,' which includes book reviews and recommended book lists, to promote library development and improve services.

The Gyeonggi-do Library Series is a practical guidebook that can be used in library operations, containing excellent operation cases and solutions to major issues under the theme of library service development. Since 2008, two types have been published annually, with the 31st and 32nd issues released this year.

The topics for the Gyeonggi-do Library Series are selected through an open call and a final review meeting composed of academic and library-related experts. The call for proposals is announced every January, and anyone related to libraries can apply.

The Gyeonggi-do Librarian Book Review Collection is the 15th compilation of book review activities by the 'Gyeonggi-do Librarian Book Review Group,' consisting of 80 librarians from public libraries in cities and counties within the province. This year, 158 book reviews are included. The full collection of reviews and recommended book lists can be viewed on the Gyeonggi-do Cyber Library Bookmagic website.

Kim Dong-ju, Director of the Library Policy Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We hope that the library series and librarian book review collection published by Gyeonggi Province this time will be used as materials to consider various perspectives on library services in the field, helping residents choose quality books."

Gyeonggi Province will distribute the series and book review collection, produced as standalone books, to over 340 public libraries in Gyeonggi Province.
