Maxst Conducts Closed Beta Test for New Metaverse 'Teullona'

Maxst, a metaverse platform specialist company, announced that it will conduct a closed beta test (CBT) of its metaverse service "TLONA" starting from the 28th.

"TLONA" is a new concept of space-based metaverse service introduced by Maxst, the only company in Korea possessing original AR technology. Its distinction lies in being a space-based metaverse service that connects the real and virtual worlds. It also features easy creation of metaverse content by users and real-time sharing of experiences.

The CBT will be held for a total of 15 days from December 28 to January 12 of next year. The service allowing users to purchase TLONA land featuring world landmarks and create spaces themselves will be unveiled. Users can explore a virtual space reinterpreting Seoul's Gwanghwamun, and the provided individual spaces can be decorated according to each user's personality and preferences.

Android OS users can apply on the official TLONA website to participate as CBT testers. Testers will have the opportunity to experience TLONA first and participate in an event where abundant prizes worth 10 million KRW, including the iPhone 15, will be awarded. Additionally, virtual land to be pre-sold as digital items for next year's open beta will be provided free of charge by lottery, and all testers will be given the chance to purchase at a 30% discounted price.

Through this CBT, TLONA plans to check user responses and improve functions before conducting the open beta next year. In the TLONA open beta, the platform’s functions will be enhanced as a space-based social platform where users can directly create and share various enjoyable content within the metaverse. Furthermore, by utilizing a TLONA virtual economy system similar to reality, users can own digital assets such as land and buildings, and participate in economic activities by directly managing and selling them.

Yoo Shin-il, CPO of Maxst, who oversees the service, said, “In the open beta, we will present an immersive social space platform including ‘TLONA Builder,’ which allows anyone to easily create desired spatial experience content; ‘Room Reconstruction,’ which reconstructs real spaces as 3D models and connects them to virtual spaces; and social functions that enable creation and sharing of reality-based metaverse experiences with other users.”
