Goryeong-gun, Gyeongbuk Province (Governor Lee Nam-chul) received the Encouragement Award at the 2023 ‘Gyeongsangbuk-do Regional Economic Revitalization Evaluation’ ceremony held on the 22nd at the provincial office Sarim Room.
Goryeong-gun, which received the Encouragement Award in the Gyeongbuk Regional Economic Revitalization Evaluation.
This evaluation targeted 22 cities and counties within the province to increase interest in supporting small business owners and revitalizing traditional markets, discovering and promoting differentiated projects suited to local conditions, and sharing best practices. The evaluation criteria consist of 16 indicators across two categories: small business owners and traditional markets.
The main evaluation items include ▲support performance for stabilizing small business management ▲sales performance of local love gift certificates ▲excellent policies for price stabilization management ▲traditional market shopping performance ▲digital revitalization performance of traditional markets ▲and best practices for traditional market revitalization.
As a result of the evaluation, Goryeong-gun achieved excellent results in various fields such as small business facility improvement projects and the creation of a youth mall in the traditional market, earning the Encouragement Award along with the Governor’s commendation plaque and a prize of 1 million KRW.
A Goryeong-gun official stated, “We are honored to receive the Encouragement Award in the Gyeongbuk Province Regional Economic Revitalization Evaluation. Despite the difficult economic conditions, we will strive to overcome challenges together with small business owners and traditional market merchants.”
