Produced and Posted a Total of 121 Work Knowledge Videos...Employees Added Fun by Creating Themselves
3 Stages: Video (Basic) → Manual (Reference) → Q&A (Advanced), Expected to Resolve Work Questions and Serve as a Communication Channel
Gangdong-gu (Mayor Lee Soo-hee) announced on the 26th that it will officially operate the video-centered ‘Work SOS Bulletin Board’ to help employees quickly adapt to their tasks, the first of its kind nationwide.
Departing from the traditional text-based work manuals, the bulletin board operates with video-focused work manuals, marking the first attempt of this kind in the country.
Currently, a total of 121 educational videos are posted on the bulletin board. Initially, based on employee surveys, 45 videos covering 20 fields such as budgeting, expenditures, contracts, and resident registration were produced, followed by the posting of 76 ‘short videos’ through employee contests and evaluations.
In particular, employees directly cooperated in filming, adding fun to the videos. Various formats such as true/false quizzes, skits, solo lectures, and character appearances were planned to make the work content engaging and easy to understand.
This is expected to enhance employees’ understanding of their tasks, allowing immediate application in practice, and above all, to be highly useful during handovers or work gaps.
Going forward, the system will be upgraded to organize and implement video titles in a list format so that employees can more easily access desired videos, and work content not yet registered on the bulletin board will continue to be added.
Additionally, the ‘Knowledge Sharing’ bulletin board, which gathers various work information such as practical manuals and guidelines, contributes to activating information sharing among employees, while the ‘Q&A Bulletin Board’ allows free questions and answers, serving as a communication channel for sharing know-how and information between senior and junior staff.
Lee Soo-hee, Mayor of Gangdong-gu, said, “The Work SOS Bulletin Board was created mainly with videos to help employees adapt to their work more easily,” adding, “We will do our best to create a working environment (organizational culture) where employees can perform their duties effectively.”
