Two Protesters Cause Disturbance at 'Carol by Candlelight'
Waving Palestinian Flags, Shouting "Children Are Dying"
At the stage of Australia's famous Christmas Eve annual event 'Carols by Candlelight', a protester supporting Palestine stormed the stage and was arrested, causing a commotion.
According to local media including The Australian on the 25th (local time), during the Carols by Candlelight event held the previous afternoon at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, two protesters climbed onto the stage while children were performing carols. One woman carried a Palestinian flag and ran around the stage shouting, "While you sing carols, children are dying in Gaza."

The performing children quickly evacuated to a safe place, and security personnel immediately removed the protesters from the stage. Tens of thousands of spectators attending the event, as well as viewers watching the live broadcast from home, witnessed the scene in full. The event was being broadcast live on TV and radio.
Fortunately, there were no casualties from this incident, but Victoria Police arrested the woman who stormed the stage on charges of illegal possession of a weapon, stating that she was carrying a weapon. The police also said they prevented two other citizens, who appeared to be pro-Palestinian protesters, from entering the venue earlier that day.
Carols by Candlelight is a Christmas Eve event that began in 1938 in Melbourne, Australia. Every year, many people gather at an outdoor venue to light candles and sing carols together, with live performances by famous domestic and international celebrities accompanied by a symphony orchestra. Additionally, funds raised through ticket sales, candle sales, and donations from this event are donated to 'Vision Australia,' a charity for the visually impaired.
