Pohang City Holds Retirement Ceremony for Public Service Environmental Workers

On the 22nd, Pohang City held the '2023 Retirement Ceremony for Public Service Environmental Workers' at the Welfare Center for Environmental Workers, encouraging the dedication and service of the retiring environmental workers who contributed to creating a clean urban environment.

The retirement ceremony was attended by over 30 people, including Go Wonhak, Director of the Environment Bureau, Park Sanggeun, Head of the Resource Circulation Division, retirees, their families, the chairman of the Pohang City Hall Labor Union (public service workers), and colleagues. The event included the presentation of plaques of appreciation and bouquets, congratulatory speeches, encouragement speeches, retirement speeches, and commemorative photos.

Go Wonhak, Director of the Environment Bureau, presented plaques of appreciation and bouquets to three public service environmental workers who worked from early morning to create pleasant streets and delivered a congratulatory speech. He also handed over commemorative gifts from Jang Cheonuk, chairman of the labor union, and gave an encouragement speech.

Go Wonhak, Director of the Environment Bureau of Pohang City, said, “I support the second chapter of life for all of you who have devoted your youth and passion to the citizens and Pohang City,” and added, “I sincerely thank the environmental workers who have dedicated themselves for a long time in unseen places to create a pleasant eco-friendly urban living space and build a resource-recycling environmental society.”
