Training 'Elite Webtoon Artists' with Global Competitiveness... Opening of Korea Manhwa Webtoon Academy

The Korea Manhwa Contents Agency announced on the 22nd the opening of the 'Korea Manhwa Webtoon Academy,' an elite specialized training program designed to cultivate writers with global competitiveness.

The Webtoon Academy operates with a small elite group of around 15 students. It is planned as a specialized training program to nurture popular writers who can succeed in the global market.

The education consists of mentoring and critique sessions, and trainees receive benefits such as creative support funds, exhibition promotions, personal workspaces, and free education.

The academy is located in the Bucheon Webtoon Convergence Center, a leading domestic webtoon-related cluster spanning from three basement floors to twelve above-ground floors, completed last September.

Shin Jong-cheol, President of the Korea Manhwa Contents Agency, stated, "Through the Korea Manhwa Webtoon Academy education, we will support the discovery and growth of writers with artistic quality and capability, and cultivate writers who will lead the competitiveness and future of Korean manhwa."
