Gwangju University signed a mutual cooperation agreement on the 20th at the 6th-floor conference room of the Administration Building with Syrdarya Province, Uzbekistan, to collaborate on international branding and the exchange and communication of international talents.
On this occasion, both institutions agreed to join forces on projects such as jointly operated school programs for talent development, Sejong Institute, integration of education and training, technology and research development, and short-term training. They also promised to actively carry out various cooperative exchange activities including mutual visits, inspections, education, docking, and investment attraction.
The signing ceremony was attended by more than 20 people, including Gwangju University President Kim Dong-jin and other key officials, Syrdarya Province Vice Governor Botirov Bahdor, Mayor of Gulistan City, and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Investment and Trade.
President Kim Dong-jin of Gwangju University said, "Through Gwangju University, an Education Internationalization Competency Certification University, and its excellent education system and programs, we will continue international brand cooperation with Syrdarya Province, Uzbekistan, talent exchange, and various industry-academia collaborations."
Vice Governor Botirov Bahdor said, "We will strive to make this an opportunity for Uzbekistan and Gwangju University in the Republic of Korea to exchange in various fields such as education and economy and to achieve mutual development."
