Department of Welfare Management at Dongmyeong University Wins Encouragement Award for 'Adult Learners' Local Issue Resolution Project'

CSR Marketing Team Connects 'Utilizing Vacant Stores in Traditional Markets' Theme with Interactive Lessons

Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) announced on the 20th that the CSR Marketing team from the Department of Welfare Management at the College of Future Convergence won the Encouragement Award (prize money of 100,000 KRW) at the ‘2023 Regional Industry-Academia Cooperation Performance Sharing Event’ 2023 Regional Issue Resolution Project Team Awards.

Han Mi-young, Team Leader of Group 1 (Department of Welfare Management), said, “The Regional Issue Resolution Project class was very effective in preparing linkage plans between traditional markets and welfare promotion, gaining field education experience for lifelong adult learners through problem-solving, and learning marketing techniques applicable to both profit and nonprofit sectors.”

The Department of Welfare Management (Department Head Kim In-sook) was selected for the Busan Technopark public contest 2023 second semester Regional Issue Resolution Project with the CSR Marketing/Marketing and Market Development course (Professor Lee Ji-eun). Under the theme “Utilization of Vacant Stores in Traditional Markets Linked to Classes,” the course was completed with proposals for experiential stores using vacant traditional market stores and welfare promotion spaces. Through the Do-ing community practice-oriented class, the university confirmed its high prestige as Dongmyung University, a top institution nurturing excellent adult learners.

The 2023 Regional Industry-Academia Cooperation Performance Sharing Event, hosted by Busan City and Busan Technopark, is a festival to share the achievements of Busan’s regional industry-academia cooperation, present policy visions for the next year, and take a step closer to becoming the ‘Regional Industry-Academia Cooperation City Busan.’
