Han Dong-hoon, former Minister of Justice who accepted the position of Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, has faced voices within the party urging him to embrace former leader Lee Jun-seok, who is pushing for the establishment of a new party. In response, Son Su-jo, CEO of Leaders Club and Lee’s 'political entry peer,' pointed out that there is no need to embrace him, calling Lee "someone who left to set up a separate household."
On the 22nd, Son said on BBS's 'Jeon Young-shin's Morning Journal,' "Why do we have to keep catching and blocking former leader Lee?"

Son and Lee both entered politics together as so-called 'Park Geun-hye Kids,' recruited by then Saenuri Party Emergency Response Chairman Park Geun-hye at the end of 2011, making them 'political entry peers.'
Son said, "When former Innovation Chairman In Yo-han visited, he was embarrassed by being called 'Mr. Linton' and blocked his own path. Rather than continuing to embrace him like that, we should reform ourselves and think about how to do well within the party," adding, "There are much more urgent matters than embracing Lee Jun-seok right now."
Regarding the 'Han Dong-hoon Emergency Committee,' Son said, "I sincerely hope it will be truly different from the existing leadership. Many young politicians, young people, and those outside the National Assembly were disappointed by the previous leadership’s apparent refusal to innovate and resist change," adding, "Since we have come to this emergency situation and appointed him as the Emergency Committee Chairman, and considering our party’s past experience with Park Geun-hye’s Emergency Committee, which even endured a tent party office, I hope the memories of that time will be revived and that this Emergency Committee will surely succeed."
On former leader Lee’s apology after swearing at Assemblyman Ahn Cheol-soo during a YouTube broadcast, Son said, "Do we just let it go if someone swears, hits, and then simply says ‘sorry’? Is that how we teach kids who have committed school violence? Moreover, if you are a politician, you must take political responsibility when you admit your mistakes."
She continued, "People may think of Assemblyman Ahn as a political enemy, but he is a senior by a generation and a current lawmaker," adding, "How would you feel if your father experienced such things in society? I believe this is something that must be taken responsibility for."
Regarding the mention of Lee’s possible expulsion from the party by some within the party, she said, "External calls for expulsion arise because he does not take responsibility himself," adding, "It is up to him to decide what method to take, but simply saying ‘I’m sorry, I will be careful on broadcasts’ and letting it go is somewhat inappropriate."
